I live in Orange County and several bars on the show are in this county. I went to one other day that is close to my house and I used to go there often in my 20's. It was always a fun time when I went, so I wanted to see what needed to be changed. Going in, the fancy city interior really clashed with the over all vibe of the town. It clashed and was weird and no one sat at the fancy re-done tables, just the bar. I talked to the bartender to get her take on the renos and she said Tanner created more of a problem for her by putting stored alcohol in the corner and now she is in charge of making sure no customers steal their alcohol inventory. Also, he always preaches women need to come to the bars to make it successful, but with all that fancy they can't think to put purse hooks under the bar? Usually basic women accommodations. The ppl who worked with Taffer said he was nice and a good influence, but they did not work there just regulars. Taffer did make sure to leave a cooler in the bar by the alcohol stash with his name on it for branding purposes. I don't think he's saving bars, just pretend upgrades.
