Let me begin by saying that these movies tell an awesome story!! Each movies is a dramatic representation of the themes of JRR Tolkien. In many cases PJ took it to the extreme degree but that was the point.
Themes do not mean 'word for word' from the book nor do they mean instant gratification.
There are a lot of haters and people who are full of negative comments that rip apart the story and they miss the point of what the film represents. Like JRR T. Books you need to keep patience's and wait for the story to unfold. Like a history lesson or a documentary, that can be not so entertaining for those who cannot see the whole picture. Action sequences are only a piece of the puzzle.
I have read the hobbit and all three books of JRR T. They are not a short read and Tolkien is very detailed and wordy so you have to sometimes read a long detailed chapter before you get the picture or the concept of what he is trying to say.
The movie is the same way. Peter J. Tried to keep this vision going.
Many reviewers just rattle off sections of the film to purposely degrade everything JRR T. Stands for. This is not fair to the books and lifetime that JRR T. Spent.
Give middle earth it's due. If you are one of those people that dislike all 6 movies, give others a chance to make that decision for themselves.
