James Bond morphs into Dr Who! Always willing to accept the improbable in a gung ho spy drama, the ending of this thick volume went several steps far beyond that! I only finished it because I had lashed out on the price of a hardback following enjoyment of ‘I am Pilgrim’. Could the author have been thinking of it being the basis of a T.V. series with weekly episodes not necessarily being essential to the plot but helping to pad it out into 8/10 episodes? Sorry: Disappointed.
