I saw/will see this movie a long time ago/a long time from now. I loved the layers of complexity and self full filling prophecy in the story as well as the moral questions posed at various points. It had a visually interesting direction as well compared to the much more common Disney animated features that flood theatres, and this was refreshing. Despite what others have said, as an American I am very fond of this movie - and wish more were made like it. I consider it a rare, lost gem, that is unique in it's own ways and that's what makes it special. If you like Fantasy, Science Fiction, time travel, prophecies, and moral quandaries then this might be for you. It is also known by other titles, such as "Metal Men of Gandahar" and more commonly in the U.S. by the title "Lightyears"

Nope. Does the legacy of the movie a great injustice.

A truly terrible addition to the Marvel cineverse. I wanted to like it, I liked the previous Thor films, but as with all of the more recent Marvel material this was just a long collection of disappointments. It is badly written, id plagued by increasingly bad dialogue and awkward attempts at humor that just come off as pathetic and strained at best, inappropriate and cringe worthy at worst. The whole screaming Goats was bad enough when it was an internet meme, but hey lets put it in a multi-million dollar movie and keep throwing it in your face to make sure you get it. The visual effects often were off and felt wrong - almost phoned in at times. Thor's new costume looks far to cartoon like, and over done - they should have stuck with the costume in the earlier movies. Then, there is Disney pushing certain political agendas just as they promised, despite it feeling forced and contrived and not serving the plot. This is not what I had come to expect from the Marvel Cineverse leading up to Endgame, but everything since Endgame seems to have turned a corner and is just getting progressively worse. Disney demonstrates once again how little respect they have for the original IP or the fans of it and how they will just use it as a cash cow and a vehicle to force their political agenda. While there were a handful of moments in the movie I liked and a few good dialogue bits, there just wasn't enough to save this film. The final battle scene was particularly laughable and annoying. Congrats Disney, you helped destroy Star Wars, and now you have made a train wreck of Marvel Cineverse. This will be the last of any movies with Disney as the creator I will watch. Between Disney and Michael Bay, Hollywood has destroyed everything I have loved as a child growing up.

This show does grievous injustice to the HALO intellectual property. It is an unforgivable abomination. Not the first TV series to radically depart from it's alleged "inspiring Source" but here is an honest thought - if you writers and producers want to tell a story that doesn't fit in with what exists how about you make something new instead of using an existing and proven IP to sell your obviously poor story line and end up with something that is in name only of what it allegedly represents. The effects are not even very good for the available technology used for effects in the current days, and Master Chiefs movements in the first episode when introduced look so very jerky, poorly animated, and digital it is appalling. No, it does not look like he is moving differently because he is a cyborg, it looks like he was animated by someone who did not understand movement and human anatomy. I sincerely tried to like this show, I have endured (more apt to say suffered through) five episodes, but it keeps getting worse. It is less about the Covenant and the Founders and the HALO than it is about this brewing civil war in a very dystopian military society reminiscent of that depicted in the Starship Troopers movies of the 90's (and those were terrible rewrites and adaptations of the novel too). If you are even a remote fan of HALO I would say avoid this it will likely upset you. I was not a huge fan of the games, did play the first 2, but I liked the backstory and concept more than game play (not an FPS fan) and this series just craps all over those concepts and backstory.

The series started off mediocre at best - not the worst I had seen, but a far cry from good. It has just continued to deteriorate since then. Undoing plot developments to keep Baby Yoda in the show in what seems a clear cash grab and merchandising choice. He doesn't fit well, even in scenes that focus on him. The visual effects are laughable for Grogu. Sure I thought he was "cute" for the first episode or two, but honestly he has just become an annoying contrivance used by the writers to have the main character talk down to the audience and explain everything that is happening as it happens - like you're not watching it happen... This show has no respect for the audience at all. Things are happening that make no sense. Action sequences just to distract you from seeing how poorly constructed or thought out the story or plot is. Characters that are more 1-dimensional than a dot. The dialogue is often very, very bad, and delivered in a sterile, emotionless cadence. The pacing is off and constantly changing harshly, breaking rhythm and immersion. There is no chemistry between characters at all. Things that seem like they should be important or memorable are constantly disregarded, or left by the wayside, or worse yet, ret-conned an episode later. Season 3 is so far the worst. Between making the new republic look incompetent and just as evil as the empire, and long sequences to show how bureaucrats are tying the hands of Republic Protectors and Rangers, to switching focus from Din Djarin to Bo Katan as if setting up a spinoff - this entire season fails in every way. The Character exchanges are unconvincing, and some of the acting is terrible. It has all of the overall feel in quality of poorly written 70's and 80's era live action children's television shows. While it does have good looking CGI spacecraft and scenery, and some sets that likely cost big bucks, that isn't enough to save it or make it likable. As a long time fan of Star Wars, a cameo from someone in the EU or one of the animated series appearing in live action, or getting to see a shot of a famous character done up to look young with CGI is just not enough to get me excited or hyped, or praise this drivel. I honestly feel sad for all of the fans where that is enough for them to hype this garbage... or those who will love it just because it has the words Star Wars in the title. Honestly this show, and so many others by D+, are crapping all over the hard work, imagination, and effort so many talented people poured into the original trilogy across 2 decades, and the prequel trilogy across another decade. My mistake was in thinking D+ was shorthand for Disney Plus. I see now that it better represents the academic grade level of their work.

This show is just terrible, and it keeps getting worse. I have seen and enjoyed Rebels, and the Clone Wars, and I did not enjoy this - it lacks all of the character, energy, and depth of either. It is so poorly written, with terrible dialogue and utterly flat deliveries lacking emotion of any sort. Characters are constantly telling one another things they should already know, or even things they just witnessed happen because the writers clearly lack the insight and creativity to find better ways to impart information to the audience. Often times the Dialogue just is not natural or organic to the situation. Neither Ahsoka or Sabine behave anything like the characters from Rebels or the Clone Wars. The pacing is poor in all scenes, with lots of dead air as the characters slowly walk and circle each other or tables with long pauses after each like of dialogue as if the director wants it to carry weight that is just not there. There is lots of staring and blank expressions. The camera work, too, is poor and uninspired - and I get the feel it's someone who is just learning to use a camera - whether that is the case or not. What action sequences that are present are very poorly thought out, written, or choreographed - Lightsabers that only cause flesh wounds, blasters that deflect harmlessly off the target, enemies lining up in the gunsights of the heroine who still manages to miss to try to increase a sense of urgency that just is not there... I have seen Fan Films with better production values. I wanted to like this show, I really did, but after the third episode it is clear to me it is just not worth having any hope left for Star Wars unless and Until it is in new hands. Disney and the current Lucasfilm crew just can not create decent Star Wars content - they have no respect for the material, no respect for the characters male or female (but especially male), and no respect for the fans (again especially male - I guarantee I am labeled a misogynist or any of their other favorite derogatory terms for writing a bad review despite my issue being with the technical aspects of production and the portrayal, not with the characters themselves). I have seen better fan films with much smaller budgets and production crews. In fact, this feels like a poorly made fan film.
