Plot: very simple but simple =/= weak, infact the way it unfurls, the plot leaves little to be desired with a great ending. Acting: Brilliant, the trio of main characters add immense suspense into even the most simple scenes, the acting never feels flat and is excellent throughout. Direction/Cinematography : this is where the movie really outshines other suspense-thrillers, with a lot of attention given to lighting and blocking in each frame, it is definitely a visual treat. Also the lack of soundtrack/music in any scene makes plenty of room for sound editing and definitely this movie is edited very well, with the sound (and silence) playing important roles in adding suspense. I rate this movie 4.5/5 Must Watch

Plot: Very interesting and strong plot, keeps the audience on the toes Acting: Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks act good even though the acting is flat in some scenes and most of the supporting cast gives average performances. Amy Adams on the other hand outshines Dicaprio in all the scenes they share, great performance by her. Direction/Cinematography: a delight to watch at most times , the plot does fall flat in some places and the pacing is definitely too slow at places, but Spielberg's oners are a delight and the soundtrack helps with adding emotion to the scenes, but at times even it is over used I give this movie 3.5/5 Good watch, an interesting movie

Plot: the plot is unpredictable, but that does not make it evenly interesting and this film suffers from pacing issues, it is too slow at times. Acting: Cruise does a great job catching the essence of the character but there is no character development what so ever, a very flat performance by cruise and all other actors Direction/Cinematography: it portrays the scenes well but doesn't add to them, average direction I give this movie 2.5/5 Passable movie, could be watched for the interesting plot

Plot: Very simple, the film spends almost no time in explain the plot and puts the audience in the middle to find out but the slow pacing of the plot in the first half gives ample time to the audience to over think and potentially find loopholes which diminishes the experience Acting: John Krasinski is the lead actor and the father of 2 (later 3 ) children, John does justice to his role and adds paternal instincts into his role, both kids give good performances, Emily Blunt is the performance to lookout for mainly because the scenes involving her are more fast paced and Emily gives a brilliant performance to enhace the suspense. Direction/Cinematography: Good, the direction doesn't add to the emotions of the characters but it does justice to them and portrays them well Sound: great sound editing, because this movie has minimal dialogue and no soundtrack (due to the requirement of the plot) ift leaves plenty of room for sound editing and it is edited brilliantly, the audience can close their eyes and listen the tension build up even though there is no background score. I give this movie 3.5/5 Good watch, you can see it for the refreshing plot
