This book was very interesting considering Dazai's apparent distaste of women, especially prostitutes, in No Longer Human. I really related to Kazuko and Naoji and their mother was a graceful example of the old ways coming to terms with the new. The metaphors were beautiful and the storyline entertaining. Veryy Good Read.
