Keanu runs like a middle aged man and fights like a well rehearsed dancer. The sequence in Casablanca with Halle Berry reflects the absurdity of gun violence, with every single victim shot in the head - perhaps this is the point? Names like 'the adjudicator', 'the director' and 'the elder' suggest a new style of intrigue akin to the paranoia surrounding the cold war. For all it's bravado, John Wick 3 is very well written and will stack up over time. 3.5 stars.

Where are these monsters? Are there really giant moths and spiders, living deep underground? Do gigantic lizards and three headed dragons actually fight for supremacy? Or is it something else - the monsters we all have within and without us? For its $200 million budget, it's wonderful art direction, it's overworked script, it's bad acting - Godzilla - King of the Monsters is about who we are as people and it's inherent limitations. No matter how big you consider yourself there's always someone bigger. 3.5 stars.
