It is definitely the worse horror film of 2021 so far. It had SO many flaws. The acting and dialogue was so cheesy and dull. Which was surprising because the main actress in the film is great in the show, Peaky Blinders. The music score was horrible for this film and any “jump scare” scene or any intense moment was too overdone because of the music. It just distracted you or made you not care. The plot was somewhat interesting enough, although at many times laughable that it felt like a comedy for scary movies. It still had just enough of a somewhat interesting ending to the film that made me even give this film two stars (and that’s being generous!). Even though it was pretty predictable. Overall, between the poor acting, the dialogue and weak plot? I probably will never watch this film again. I’m so glad this came free with HBO-Max, and I feel bad for anyone who wasted money on seeing this in theaters. What a joke this film was. It’s sad because I loved the directors The Conjuring film so much. This film could of been a LOT better. Better luck next time James Wan!
