Unlike others who raved about this book and couldn't put it down I couldn't force myself to pick it up more than twice. It never picked up. I struggled through the first 50 pages, and then decided I didn't hate myself enough to keep going. There are so, so many good, engaging writers - I can't see why anyone would waste their time on this book.
