An excellent film that held me enthralled and horrified in about equal measure. My maternal grandfather fought in the trenches in WWI so it was a very poignant film for me. The appalling deaths of hundreds of thousands of young men was a tragedy that cannot be described. So many lives sacrificed for so little.
