I wasn't sure what to think coming into this movie due to the mixed reviews. Once the movie started though I took it at face value and tried not to conpare it with the other versions of the Grinch that have come out. In its own right it is a cute, feel-good movie that brings about a second message that I found refreshing. While it is not one to possible win awards, it is definitely a clean (surprisingly), sweet and funny movie I felt safe taking my 4 year old to go see. And I felt it had enough content for myself not to be bored accompanying him. I even caught my husband laughing a few times. I would recommend it!
