My Japanese wife and I are able to enjoy this series equally.
She is impressed with the attentiion to detail in scenery, costumes and historical accuracy. I am impressed with the pacing and ability to catch the spirit of the novel, which I read.
A must watch for all. Acting is also extraordinary..
