The first episode really hooked me, the chemistry between Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s characters was so good and their kiss was so sensual looking in the second episode. Things I liked during the show included seeing Morgan and Sasha form their friendship - I hope that doesn’t become anything more than that because women-men relationships are already so minuscule in TV. I liked the pacing of the show and how both main characters had these families and family connections that were so important to them, also seeing the contrast of Noah’s traditional family and Joanne’s Modern one, it created realistic ideals of why they turned out the way they did. I also really liked seeing sole of it from Rebecca’s perspective, showing that it’s not a competition, even if she’s kind of sees it as one, and that the girl who ends up with your ex isn’t always a bad person. I do wish we had more of a background of Joanne’s former relationship or saw more of a change as the episodes went on because when she put that ugly dress during epi 9 I couldn’t see the connection as much, or why Morgan complained she had changed so much. I’m definitely looking forward to where the story will go from here 🤗

Story line was exactly what you expected, which is boring at this point. But! I will give it points for good writing for Nicole Kidman and Kathy Bates. To be fair Nicole Kidman can have chemistry with a fake plant. Every scene with her and Kathy Bates was great. Zac was so so and Joey King was just terrible. I hated majority of scenes she was in, it just gave more kissing booth from her point of view, which is disappointing because she was great in The Act and Bullet Train. Yes the relationship with Zac and Nicole was weird to begin with but like I said, Nicole has chemistry with everyone!

I thought this two part series was very thoughtful and very thought provoking. I liked the way that it goes through the timeline of Brooke Shields life by dates, friends and family impressions and how Brooke saw herself. It was interesting to see the impact her life has had on the past decades and compare and contrast how everyone else saw that time versus her. It was also so intriguing to see how she was treated, especially as one of the “most gorgeous women” of the time and how she was taken advantage of, and the naivety she had through those professional experiences and the deeply personal ones as well. She really became a Jack of all trades and I would recommend to anyone that is interested in her life. The self promotion of her company at the end was a little turn off.
