The Dark Knight trilogy set the bar really high on Batman movies, after Christopher Nolan finished telling his story of Bale's Batman they tried to reboot the character to get him back on the big screen with Ben Affleck which turned out to be a disaster.
Affleck's Batman was doomed from the start, not only did his predecessor set the expectations off the roof but his character came off as hallow and boring and Snyder's directing wasn't all too great either. I mean look what they did to Jared Letos Joker, it was awful.
This movie (The Batman 2022) again had high expectations and alot of people including myself were very skeptical of the Robert Pattinson casting but it actually worked, he takes the character in a new direction instead of trying to copy every other Batman and the result is simply badass. The directing was brilliant i loved the darkness of this movie and they also did a great casting job It lived up to its expectations, and some more.
Major props to Robert Pattinson he gave this character a spark it hasn't had since Bale played the role. Loved the movie, cant wait to see what they do with the sequel. 5/5
