So let me get this straight, David has to do the following in less than 5 minutes: -Defeat Walter -Switch clothes with him -Cut his hand off -Fix his damaged voice box -Cut his face exactly where Walter's scar is -Rendevouz with the others. All of that, in less than 5 minutes? And none of the main characters could tell David was Walter? Or how about when David shows that one guy a throbbing alien egg, and he tells him to look into it. That guy just shot a Xenomorph and he saw David's upset reaction, and didn't think it was a trap? This movie has so many absurdly dumb main characters, though it has some entertaining alien scenes.

This is a fantastic film, however, the R-rated 3-hour cut is clearly going to be the superior cut. The film has a few issues: 1. Heavily relies on exposition to explain the lore of the story. 2. The characters are underdeveloped, clearly, some scenes got cut and are being saved for the 3-hour cut, but the characters simply needed more scenes. 3. The pacing in the second and third acts is off, the director's cut is no doubt going to fix that. This movie gets a 4/5 review from me: it's a good movie, no doubt about it, but clearly, the director's cut is going to be better.

You know, when I read the reviews from the critics a lot of them are either smug jokes or the typical "Too much CGI" or some other vague statement that doesn't provide much insight. So let me say this: This movie is GOOD. Like, it's not Bumblebee levels of good but it is a coherent and enjoyable movie: the action is in focus and easy to follow, the plot is simple and straightforward unlike the massive mess that was The Last Knight, the characters have personality, and character development. Optimus Prime especially: he has a character arc, development, and emotions, and he actually feels like a real person and not a mindless killer. In other words, this movie was made by someone who wanted to put in real effort to make the movie decent. So I highly recommend watching it.
