I loved this show so much. I think it is the very first reality competition show that is built on a foundation of respect and positivity instead of the cutthroat bs and fragile ego nonsense we have grown accustomed to.
The hosts didn't say things like, "if you can't handle the pressure then this business is not for you." Because like good bosses they actually know that to get the best out of people you need to bring YOUR best self to those who work under you. It's as if they sniffed out the need to keep power in check, recognizing the deeper value and relevance in this cultural moment. I was so impressed by all of the people on the show. And the judges and hosts.
Fashion aside, this is one of the most inspiring shows of its kind. The tropes and hackneyed tricks of the genre fall away to make room for a better, more humanely connected form we seem to have otherwise left in the distant past.
Nice work all of you.
