Good adaptation of a brilliant book, a must-read story. Acting excellent, particularly Werner the German Orphan, and Marie, the blind heroine. Hugh Laurie also very good as Etienne. I certainly enjoyed watching this series, despite what critics might say, and found it compelling viewing.
