I do recommend Prince Harrys “Spare”. A well written, easy to read account of Prince Harry’s story of loss, his times in Botswana and love of Africa, his 10 years service in the army (the writing style so good you can picture whats going on) and founding the Invictus Games, glimpses into a family some can relate to - no not really the castles… the p/matriach in waiting, the drama, expectations, manipulation, bullying, going non-contact, challenges with mental health. The dehumanising of people by the media and general public is the clincher, the attitude that you are “owned” by the public, that they are rightful in degrading you constantly. I am inspired by their fight back, against the media, against the “institution”, just because things have always been done a certain way, doesn’t mean it is ok, or should carry on. Well done Random House and Penguin for publishing this. When I was trying to buy it here it was sold out everywhere for a while, even online. A must read, real person story, glad I got my copy.
