I'm not movie fan; sitting in a dark cold room for two hours on seats that are kinda gross... it's just not my thing. Buuuut last night, David and I went to see Guillermo Del Toro's "Nightmare Alley". THIS is a work of ART!! It's what cinema should be (shifts your thinking, charges emotion etc.) I HIGHLY recommend this film, for so many reasons, it's a lil twisted and dark --each scene is more breathtaking than the one before. Art direction like I've never seen before: I could smell the stench lingering between the sideshow stage and canvas tents, Paul Anderson portrayal of "The Geek" encompassed the entire story within his short screen-time.
Nightmare Alley is cinematic perfection.
