If this show is an example of British schools , that country is in deep trouble.....

After just watching Serpent Queen I thought this will be a great to watch and see how Mary and Catherine were depicted....I lasted about 15 minutes into the first episode...it was done to appeal to like maybe 15 yr old....it was like all about silly romance and clothes and frivolous little girls...not anyone who knows history nor has a real and intelligent brain... It is torture! Not worth even 1 star.

Here we are in the 1500s in France and everyone is going around saying F this and F that and Wow!!! This is just too dumb ....why are we subjected to this dumbing down of yet another show that could have been really excellent...acting was very good, costumes good but the writing and "woking it up" of it was absurd! Nowadays if something isn't woke correct or written to try to attract some sort of younger generation giving them the completely wrong idea of the whole premise of the Black maid was to satisfy the wokers...there was no such person! Pandering again...

Sadly disappointing....and boring. The one thing that stuck out for me was the use of Black actors in a film about Russia during the time of the Romanoff's and start of the reign of Stalin and socialism....I mean this blatant use of Black actors is just so obvious and so horribly wrong...they are not representing anyone at that time... ...Wokeness at it's most obvious!!!. These characters were not Black in this book which is what I thought this movie was about...and I hardly think there were actual Black people in Russia in these situations like this let alone hardly any Blacks in Russia then at all!!! One never even sees now Black Russians ! I'm sure there are but there sure weren't at that time involved in the overthrow of the Romaoffs and aristocracy...turned it off...it is a huge waste of time to watch and very sad to see Armor Towels agreed to do this to his fine book. Even Kenneth Branagh was disappointing and not right for that part. Amor Towels sold out his fine book to be slaughtered by Wokey Hollywood...

Kate Winslet is outstanding,,,,.IMO series and Kate are Emmy worthy for sure......kind of a spoof on many things ...even the US government involvement in foreign countries is great....... a dark comedy /....

So sad all Hollywood can do its continue with the remakes ....no way it can beat Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie....no way...this is just a way to make it PC ....

I know all the Brits love this show...but, however, IMO if it didn't have all the props and special effects it would be a much better, real story...too much smoke fire sparks unnecessary scenes of the same thing over and over ...the Peaky Blinders walking thru all the smoke fire and sparks all the time...that was so overdone....prop use overdone, the smoking was so overkill, the blatant sex scenes got boring, and over dramatiized scenes ...real gangsters in that time period did not work like that ...an overdone special effects extravaganza...with brooding over acting..

Excellent..you will laugh be sad but then be happy too! She is so good in this part!

Thought it was tongue in cheek funny....you had to laugh at it as he poked fun at himself and his life and what he does....great fun with a top notch aging star who still has got it ...He''s put himself thru a lot of stuff but got himself out of it by doing what he does...he went to work and dug himself out of massive debt...a quirky guy but still an A lister to me....Great fun and a big star just being himself!
