It’s an exercise in narcissism where most scenes revolve around the reporter’s (Susan Zalind) immaturity and fragile insecurities.
In episode two she has this 1970s style “stings connect the evidence” type board but updated in images framed in colorful construction paper like a grade school art project. The images of the subjects on her rainbow collage are illustrated, quite poorly mid you, by her rather than using actual photographs because, and I quote, “you know, the bad guys are less scary if you make cartoons of them.”
It could have been an interesting story but Zalkind’s lack of seriousness and professionalism is too distracting and does the series a disservice.
