Very generic storyline. This movie shed no light into the life of Aretha Franklin. This movie should have been released on television… it reminded me of a g rated television documentary. I don’t think the actors were given any sort of story with meat on the bone. I think it’s important that people see this movie, because there is a story to be told. I just don’t think the producers told a good story. I enjoyed the real clips of Aretha at the end of the movie better than anything shown in this film. Truly disappointing.
