So four stars is for keeping me entertained through 80 % of the book and actually laughing out loud at many of the funny parts. I rarely really laugh at comedy in novels—that’s worth a lot if points. Loved that dog and I’m not an animal story fan usually. The chemistry sounded impressive although not my area of expertise just assume it was accurate. Also loved the little girl and would have enjoyed having her in my class. But the end was so discomboobulated I had to speed read through it and was so confused I forgot there were so many loose ends which could have been tied up earlier when I cared. I was ready to recommend this book to all my reading friends till the end. But hey I will be first in line to watch it on tv! Kept me entertained for most of it. Bravo to the writer!
