This is an amazing film. Stay with it, finish it, and if you’re like me you won’t be able to forget it. It goes from seemingly simplistic to deeply tragic and delivers in a dream-like way. Watching Adam Driver’s demons take over is reason enough to love it. It’s classical opera structure, the music of Sparks, Marion Cotillard’s hauntingly beautiful voice, all mingled with Leos Carax’s avant-grade touches make it truly unforgettable.
