Jacob Weissman

I’m not Jacob, I’m his mom. I read East of Eden. John Steinbeck can describe the Ca Salinas valley more deliciously than I could believe is possible. Much of the book is that good. However he depicts human nature perhaps as it is. Cruel. I prefer reading about happy families with maybe a sprinkling of disruption. The majority of people in this book are living in sad situations and it’s a bit hard to take.
