A formal and linear version that is closer to the novel than many more modern attempts. It is both interesting and dramatic, with poignancy amplified by a not over intrusive musical score. The detail of survival is given enough room to stimulate and inform. Indeed, I found found myself asking ‘how would I survive?’ The loneliness of survival is also explored. In short, a traditional version of the novel which is highly recommended.
