CORALINE is a masterpiece. It is clearly a feat of the greatest artistic accomplishment. However upon reviewing it after the kids moved away and watching the directions u$a society has taken , I don’t think any child should ever watch it that isn’t on a path of depression and mass shooting. This piece was conceived by techie boys, just the ones who don’t know (or care?) nothin’ bout birthin babies!! It is as corrosive and destructive to the fragile psyche relating to parenthood and nurturing that I can believe. But it is heralding the advent of the blanched computerized human and its offspring and the results are beyond trrrifying. In this paradigm in order to conceive of being properly nurtured one must be destroyed. It is a soulless young man’s dirty fantasy and one that shows we are no longer capable of responsibly rearing and caring for our youth. I wish I didn’t know of the human world that has hatched since this beautiful sad animation came out. But I do. I believe it has the power to be permanently destructive…to leave intangible scars. Innocent love and care can cleanse the psyche. Pets can help. This 🍿 movie is 🩸 bloodying up something that should be considered sacred. The images we give our youth become who they, and “we” are.

Most unforgettable movie award. Ok I know I know… I am a woman artist and I have been dragged through the hell of modern quasi-commerce vs fem/Art, really. But this movie embodies all that is possibly good about life. It is the one that cuts with feather knives and helium handkerchiefs. Barbora, not only a riveting and remarkable Czechoslovakian painter who morphs languages and countries for fluency and survival, she is also a modern day Madonna of Madness, a Healer of Hurts, a creator of patient long suffering miracles and a savior of her own wretched thief. She easily embarrasses 99% of mankind easily and accidentally. I hope she is catapulted into high octane price range for her paintings for this document-drama. She certainly deserves it. Our redeemed antagonist hero/thief explains childhood ptsd with his life and the power of shocking mercy, acceptance and humanity at the hands of Barbora the Painter and Danish society at large. Look U$A, a more just and humane prison/reform system that actually yielded tearfully touching results. Forged forgiveness rather than hateful bitter revenge!! Both of our stars bring the best and boldest qualities we scan screens for. Artist’s true dedication for her craft turn serious roadblocks into alchemical gang busters! Only the universe itself will deliver Barbora to her rightful throne! Maybe my favorite movie next to ‘Black Stallion’ FF Coppola, ‘Breakfast at Tiffanies’ by Truman Capote and Fellini’s ‘Nights of Cabiria’ starring Mrs. Fellini herself, Guillette Massina.
