This book provides "chapter & verse" on the recruitment of persuadable people with a science credential by carbon-polluting corporations. The intent being only to profit from delaying significant change, while knowing all along that the weight of evidence for man-made climate change was persuasive.

Bought it following my watching a robust recommendation by Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) at a 2004 meeting of the American Historical Society on C-Span.
My edition is copyright 1946 and takes the reader (or student) from Middle Ages Europe through a précis of WWII (900pp)
