Honestly, not the best. When drakes unannounced album surprisingly dropped last week, I was looking forward to hearing drakes first new stuff since his last album “Certified Lover Boy” which I personally liked a lot. His new album though, I definitely felt a lot of disappointment when listening through it. Almost every song felt really long and repetitive. Also, the new sound drake and his producers have being going for is a dive into House and Electronic, which is quite a repetitive genre that I do love, being a House DJ/producer myself. It just didn’t sound right with drake singing/rapping on the 4/4 beats. Not a single song on the album made it onto my personal playlist that I listen to day to day, which does have alot of drakes previous songs in there. Overall, it was a massive disappointment to me personally, I respect drake was experimenting with a new sound but it just simply didn’t work. Some of the lyrics and singing felt a bit lazy and autotuney… just not the drake that we all know. I hope he jumps back onto Hip-Hop beats and maybe a big feature with D Block Europe which he referenced in one of his tracks.
