I personally dislike anything that advertises itself as something it is not. This book is NOT about finding quiet in a busy life. It is a collection of essays about the author's personal life, loosely tied to accounts of events in others' lives. I found it very difficult to follow the thread of the author's thinking. I understand that the book is intended to be comprised of separate essays. But I found myself asking, on almost every page, "What is the POINT of this? Why write any of this down?"
I was also irritated by the grammatical and punctuation errors. They were not myriad, but occurred often enough to catch my attention and divert me from the story.
The author is definitely earnest and appears to be genuine in his point of view. I did not detect any maliciousness or ill will. But I did not enjoy reading the book, and I wouldn't have even picked it up if I hadn't been intrigued by the title. The time I took to read "Take Time" was not time well spent.
