Well personally I thought it was decent especially for the first episode. I reckon it will get better with time. I absolutely adore the Halo franchise and have played the games from when I was a kid. The show is similar but not the same as the game so don't expect it to be absolutely bang on the same otherwise you'll be disappointed. I think the show will end up being something that draws in new enthusiast's to the game so it's there gateway to do this and I think they've done a good job currently. Can't wait for the next episode.
