Went to watch it in Star Cineplex Shimanto Square branch.
After not finding tickets for the film offline for a long time, I finally got tickets (offline) for a show on September 21. Now I think it was a waste of money.
First of all, had really high expectations from all the reviews and what I heard from others who watched it. So that might impact how I received the film, but I think even without the expectations I wouldn't applaud the movie about much.
A lot of people could argue that for a Bangladeshi movie, it's really good etc. But, why is that the bar? I don't watch too many Bangladeshi movies, but people celebrating a movie this mediocre gives an idea about how bad our film industry actually is.
Some of my major complaints: Background music can really add to a scene, but in some parts, the music was so loud that I could not make out what the dialogue was. In some scenes, the music was far from suitable for that particular scene's mood.
SPOILER ALERT if you plan on watching it (I wouldn't recommend):
One really problematic aspect they showed is how Mim's character, Ananna falls in love with Razz's character, Roman. Although she later denies it, initially she did hit it off with him when he helped her pass. I know, this movie is just fiction, but movies are also a reflection of society. And if we show such messages where a girl becomes attracted to her harasser, this glorifies the last thing we want to glorify: to harass and disturb someone until they fall for you.
As for the ending, they showed that Mim's character Ananna was the one to order Roman's friend to kill him, but they did not show any strong motivation for him to betray his friend. She promised Roman's friend anything he wants, but that didn't feel like a strong motivation to me. But that's subjective.
