I've set myself a new challenge at the start of 2024, I will track down and buy
"Precious Bane", Mary Webb. A Victorian era novelist.
She's also a 'rural' writer, along the lines of Thomas Hardy.
She was fairly prolific, but died young, sadly.
Precious Bane is my favourite, tho all of her novels are worth reading, and her poetry.
