I had to have my dad over for dinner night and a movie just to watch this movie! My dad was THROUGH AND THROUGH the father in the movie, right down to a handy man who never stopped and taught his daughters how to be craftsman themselves. The ending to this movie was absolutely perfectly done and performed. The initials everywhere was icing on the damn cake! Also all the 80s cues we’re on point and tremendously hilarious. “It was the 80’s - it was a different time then” 😂 I haven’t seen a good Christmas movie in a LONG time. The sappy Hallmark movies are so corny and stupid. This movie truly captured kids tenacity in the 80’s-90s and certainly resonated with hilarious well done acting and real life experiences that adults today can relate to then. The amount of times someone in my family pointed at another laughing and hollering “THAT WAS TOTALLY YOU!” And kids today have no idea just how much fun it was to play with sticks in the woods and race bikes around the neighborhood all year round!
Ps. I never leave movie reviews so that should say something.
Pss there was ALWAYS that one kid who was always around but not actually anyones friend 😂
