Although this film may draw you in with these talented actors, all this film has to offer is surface-level eye candy. The film is all over the place, with the purpose and message of the story seemingly changing and contorting while the story continues. By the end of your first viewing, it should be apparent that there was not purpose, and there was no true message (apart from the film criticizing Christians). And it’s not that me and a few other people “don’t get it”. Watch any “the devil all the time explained” sort of video. A lot of people claim that the film has a lot to say, and a lot of messages. To be fair, this movie has an interesting theme. However, there is no deep message; there is no purpose (other than to get views when everyone sees all their favorite actors in the cast). Also, this film did a terrible job representing Christianity. I hate how delicate Hollywood is when tackling things such as Buddhism, then takes a massive dump on Christianity. Robert Pattinson was the worst of the bunch. He definitely overdid it. The Devil All the Time belongs in the same place as Cuties does: in hell.
