This is a triple A game that is one of if not the most innovative game of its generation. This statement should be a contradiction, but miraculously isn't. Big studios don't normally have the liberty to innovate and take risks, but Kojima Productions is like no other big studio. Kojima made a name for himself much like Spielberg and James Cameron and now got the agency to do auteur work on the big stage. It really shows. The gameplay loop is fun, relaxing and even addicting, and is the main focus. Nonetheless there is a gigantic amount of story that's all consistent and connected. Acting is top-notch in the main cutscenes. Editing, cinematography, photography and camera work is excellent and full of references.
