I discovered Oakwood Station as I was listening to the Jazz playlists...on a Monday Jazz playlist...this particular song caught my attention but I didn`t even think of it specifically. I would play this particular playlist and go about m daily business. I am retired and live in Argentina with my family until 4 months back my wife had been fighting cancer for nearly 10 years and she was departing slowly and on May 12, 2020 she departed us. Leaving me and my 18 year old daughter...we loved our Paula Ostrovsky. It was Paula who introduced me to real jazz before I was a 70`s guy....some late 60`s. Anyway, after she passed we moved with her sister to a nearby town called Chasomus, AR, about 2 hours from Buenios Aires. So as we arrived the next morning I got up to go prepare cafe`as I would do in my own home...everyday..for me and my Paulita....now it`s my VIctoria Lakota...anyway this song came on and I just brokedwon,,,In The Peak Bar, It has a deep meaning to me and for us....it is also, I feel, got come connection to Buddhism and the Holy Eagle Peak that the Buddhists feel they glo to when they "expire!" not as a ominus sign but one of rejoicing. A mere changing is all it is. Serene. Gracais atodos from us to you and to this blessed song from Oakwood Station..the tiotler of the album is even connected "Since We Met."
