Good acting but sadly, drags and drags and draaaaags….. The killer reveal is unsatisfactory and rushed when it eventually happens. Apparently more detail is given in the book but the show wrapped up the most important episode as if they had run out of funds for further filming. Maybe the director and producers themselves got bored after having dragged out the earlier episodes for so long. Several things go unexplained for example blood under the sofa, a bite on one of the character’s ears, the role of Adora’s husband/partner etc. Also, didn’t quite understand why Amy Adams ….spoiler ahead….Stop reading here.. Why she voluntarily drinks the poison and then in her poisoned, half-dead state asks Amma to get help. She could have hatched a better plan surely?! Amma’s reasons for murder are barely explored or explained. And there is a random killing at the very end, in the middle of the credits! Why??!! Again , perhaps the book was better as I read that Amma does get arrested and Amy Adams continues to self harm… Indeed there was plenty of drinking going on with Amy Adams casually driving around after having polished off a bottle of vodka. 4 episodes of this would have been enough; there were 8!!!
