Why take a story that already resonates with audiences and then mangle it beyond recognition? It's as if the Hollywood writers believed they could outshine the original author in storytelling prowess. Sadly, their attempt falls flat. And to be clear, I'm not complaining about the ethnicity of the actors. I don't care about that. I'm complaining about the plot being unnecessarily changed. It's not even shorter! I'm also confused by the praise that this series receives for its supposed faithfulness to the source material. One wonders if these glowing reviews are genuine assessments or merely the product of a Disney-driven marketing machine.
