I don’t know how to feel about this book, it was my way of easing back into reading cause ive not been an avid reader for quite some time now. I really wnjoyed the beginning but it took almost halfway through the book for the wife to realize he was missing and hadnt just left. Then about another 150 some odd pages for it to become “serious” the “climax” is really only in the last maybe 40 pages and i hated the ending, the affair, the mother, especially the last chapter where lily and christian are separated i understand why they were but also just dont think the story shouldve gone in the direction of an affair.
