Disappointing. Aside from Miss Fisher's amazing dress sense there was little to keep me motivated. Phryne lacked spark and the plot dawdled. Even though the TV series takes liberties vis a vis the books it is a far preferable medium. My all time favourite method of indulging is to listen to the delightful voice of Stephanie Daniel as she reads to me.
