The first two Hunger Games films were compelling, but the two Mockingjay parts really fell flat for me—they didn’t meet my expectations at all. There are so many filler scenes, unimportant characters, and excessive drama that feels unnecessary. The last two Mockingjays dragged on and had weak storylines. I’m losing interest in finishing them, and I even fell asleep during Part 1. Plus, I found Katniss frustrating throughout the Mockingjay; her role as the Mockingjay symbol didn’t add much to the story for me.
