I wish I could rate it zero stars. I was intrigued by the plot of the film and expected it to talk about the realities and seriousness of illegal immigration. The film has instead tried to spin it as a light hearted funny love story. I expected Rajkumar Hirani to live up to the standards of his previous films, but he hasn’t. He has certainly set a new standard of low. What bothers me most is the message of the movie. Of making such a risky ( and illegal) life decision on a whim and out of no real need and portraying it as a heroic endeavour. There were many ways to execute a movie on a topic like this, but it has been done in the worst (and most painfully boring and cringey way) possible.
