Rand is a skilled writer. There is no doubt about that, but the ideas, themes, and characters are a godless bunch of garbage. We are expected to see in Roark and Dominique a relationship that is somehow portrayed as raw, real, and authentic. In reality it is a dangerous one that begins with obsession, hatred, and rape. I'm not buying the authenticity of that at all.
