Clearly I didn’t see what lots of others did in their positive reviews on this book. I found it slow, a lot of it irrelevant in descriptions of bee keeping. Flashbacks are common and in trying to be trendy it ends one chapter in the middle of a sentence, then starts the next chapter following on but to me the book didn’t flow well. It highlighted the peril of Syrians trying to flee to England which is all too sad but this book didn’t cut it for me.
