All the imprecisions and inconsistencies are a clear evidence of the absence of men, during the writing, direction and production of The Acolyte. To cite just a few: - A rock castle catches fire wildly, as if it was made of gasoline soaked cardboard. - Fire burns in a friendly manner in actual space void. - Women get impregnated without the presence of men. - The grand witch says that the Thread should not be used for violence, right before using the Thread for violence. - Etc. Unwillingly comical, the Acolyte could be an actual SNL episode.

What ? A James Bond film where James Bond gets killed at the end ? F this film ! I am not going to see a film where James Bond is killed at the end.

Gender Obsession Can Ruin a Film.

This film is dull and completely forgettable. Rian Johnson might be the worse writer in the Galaxy. And Kathleen Kennedy might be just an overrated female Jar Jar Binks.

It is quite irritating to listen during 4 hours to the ramblings and sobs of a cold blooded killer who is strangely presented as the victim. Almost nothing is said about the obvious connection between the murder and the sale of the Yoki company. In one of the few moments when Elize actually tells the truth, she says that there are secrets that she cannot reveal. Curiously, nothing is researched in this direction.

I think repulsive would be a good description. I could not go beyond the first five minutes. Violence is applied without any purpose. Also, production is quite cheap. For example, blood looks very much like ketchup. The script is poor. Why doesn't he bend over and spit the cigar, over the tub. Also, diesel fumes can light the man, but nothing happens. Etc. So, I guess it is a total flop. Writing this review has taken more time than my actual time of viewing.

Courtney Cox is really an amazing actress. The subject is of importance to all, that is to say, what happens with desire as you get older.

Oliver Stone is capable of much more. But he abandons himself to facility, through gore explicit scenes and sex that feels like a cartoon. I was extremely disappointed, the film should be re-edited by someone who is capable of more subtlety. Violence as a mock of itself.

One of the best films I have ever watched. Made for people who perceive life through sound. So I very much understand it. Amazing sound track from the beginning to the end and a beautiful love story. The cast is amazing. I think I will watch it several times.
