An incredible experience about Life, Love, Loss, and the hypothetical of immortality, whilst under the oppressive regime of NAZI Italy. It is not often something so artistically sound comes out of a massive studio, let alone advertised on Netflix. If you can, give this passion project the love it deserves, and watch it.
edit: I read some of the one star reviews. Do y'all... not know that animation isn't just "magic" that you can show to children? That more often than not, people who animate tend to like darker stories than kids do, that animation isn't just simply something for kids to watch and for you to feel magical to? I think this is a form of magic in its own right, the ability to tell dark stories that can terrify people, make people sad, and ask tough questions with no real answers. That, I think, is a valid usage of the magic of animation.
