The series felt very disconnected and the brutality (physically and mentally) on the African American family was too painful to watch. There were no real redeeming qualities in this series and I felt it did the actors a disservice. I hope they do not continue this and I will not watch a second season of this gratuitous violence and pointless mysticism, bordering on satanic precepts.
