It's funny, but can be sometimes overwhelming or overbearing - I think it mostly depends on the viewer. There's a huge contrast between characters of Steve and the Cable Guy, and Carrey doesn't shy away from his usual self but I quite liked the complimentary tones of Broderick's performance. It's a good film, but again, not everyone's type of comedy.
