I would give this movie five stars if the acting was a little better. The actors were clearly chosen for their dancing abilities, which is phenomenal. This is an adjective I use sparingly and reserve for only the very best I come across. Working with alumni and producers of So You Think You Can Dance has created some of the best ensemble dancing I have seen in a film, and I watch them all. While the plot is predictable and feel good, that does not make the movie bad, simply not worthy of five stars. Fans of dance should certainly enjoy Step Up Revolution.
